Adjustment of order and shipping costs

Adjustment of order and shipping costs

Order and shipping costs are a significant expense for any webshop. Courier costs, packaging costs, payment costs and labor costs take a significant bite out of the margin.
For years we have tried not to include these costs in our product prices. StrapRyte® believes that these costs must be incurred anyway and should therefore only be allocated to the order for which these costs are incurred.
By combining products and reducing the order or call frequency, our customers can help keep these costs manageable. Costs that neither we nor our customers earn from.
Our suppliers have also announced significant price increases for 2024. Price increases of 5 – 10% for shipping packages and also the costs for packaging materials. Payment costs and wage costs are also increasing by similar percentages.
StrapRyte® has long considered whether it should also adjust its order and shipping costs. However, we have decided not to further increase the amount of our order and shipping costs at this time. On the other hand, we have chosen to increase the minimum amount for free shipping from €50 to €75 (excluding VAT). This allows us to keep costs manageable together.
An amount of €75 excluding VAT for free shipping applies for shipments to Dutch and Belgian addresses. Different amounts apply for other countries

Also price adjustments for custom products

Due to sharply rising labor costs, sharply increased energy prices and higher packaging costs, we are also forced to adjust our prices for customization. The prices for, for example, cutting and welding different tire materials will therefore be increased.
It is not immediately possible to indicate what this exactly means for a custom-made product. The costs of materials such as Velcro, tape, webbing, plastic and metal supplies are a determining factor. If you have any questions about this, you can of course contact us
